Hopefully to Drop Kick Murphy’s the Boston Red Sox all the way to third place with some help from Tampa Bay.  PTownFan is enjoying the start of a flyfishing vacation but the iPhone is all a twitter about a rumored Major League call up for Sonoma’s Tommy Everidge. The AAA Sacramento Rivercats .377 slugger had better be Daric Barton’s replacement by tomorrow night or PTownFan is gonna be in a funk.  By the time it’s official on Tuesday, I will be incommunicado.  Somewhere in the Nevada desert en route to Montana to catch (and release) the trout of a lifetime.  So Petaluma… if the rumor is true… and Tommy Everidge is really on a plane to Boston tonight… and is an Oakland Athletic by this time tomorrow, I want to hear you crow two states away Tuesday night.  Be obnoxious. PS: Joey Gomes had two dingers in yesterday’s  20-5  slaying of the Calgary Vipers last night.  Not to be outdone, little bro Jonny Gomes hit two of his own in the Reds win over the Padres today. Sweet.
