Touch ‘Em All – September 11, 2009
by PTownFan
JONNY GOMES (OF, Cincinnati Reds, MLB – Casa Grande HS):
1-for-with a single, a walk, and a K as the Reds dropped 4 straight in the mile high city yesterday. But Jonny somehow found time to read my blog and took that “defensive ball and chain” comment from yesterday to heart. Check out this nice throw. Attaboy Jonny. Show ‘em.
TOMMY EVERIDGE (1B, AAA Sacramento Rivercats, Oakland Athletics Organization – Sonoma HS):
Those feisty Rainiers topped the River Cats 5-2 yesterday, evening up the best of 5 series at 1 apiece. Sacramento’s big bats were virtually silenced yesterday as Tommy went 0-for-5 with three K’s and Sonoma’s Brett Wallace was 0-for-4. Game three tonight. Bet there will be some PTowners in the house at Raley Field.
BRANDON MORROW (P, Seattle Mariners, MLB – Rancho Cotate HS):
Morrow pitches tonight against the Texas Rangers. Here’s the pre-pitch chatter: http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090910&content_id=6890010&vkey=news_sea&fext=.jsp&c_id=sea I would love tokeep an eye on the game from Tomales where St. Vincent’s opens its season against the Braves. But looking at AT&T’s “coverage map”, I’m gonna big in a big fat dead zone. Bummer.
